From the assessment and the lesson I have learned a lot about leadership, and their techniques to lead people in a project or the workplace. In the first lesson, we learned about what defines a good leader. The lesson suggested that a good leader is someone who achieves important business goals by empowering others and creating conditions where they can thrive. Good leaders go beyond maintaining their own status. They rally people around the mission and also create a sense of shared purpose. In this lesson, there were also a few lesson kits that helped in making a connection on the way the leaders actually think and act. The lesson also suggested that leadership is all about a journey. A good leader has a lot of energy, humility, and perseverance. The negative things were also pointed out in a leader like possessing the charisma in them or feeling they were born to lead people. The two aspects of leadership were also explained. One inward focus and another Outward focus. The inward focus was all about connecting to the values of becoming self-aware and also the leader must create a vision. In outward focus we must engage and listen to the team, we can also build trust and also make decisions and execute the plans. So finally we learned in lesson 1 that the title does not make us a leader, the leader is someone who achieves important business goals by empowering others, good leaders do not care about their status, the leaders rally people around a mission and the leader also pays attention to what people are thinking and also feeling.
